Welcome

What is Spinal Flow?

The Spinal Flow Technique, developed by Dr Carli Axford (Chiropractor), is a healing approach with its foundation in spine and nervous system philosophy.

This technique focuses on identifying and releasing blockages in the spine caused by chemical, physical, or emotional stress. Through gentle contact at specific points along the spine and cranium, Spinal Flow activates the natural Spinal Wave, which moves from the coccyx to the cranium.

As the Spinal Wave flows, it clears blockages, enhances communication within the nervous system and helps the body process stress.

By working with the 7 Gateways of the Spine, Spinal Flow helps restore the body’s natural pathways of communication, relieving pain and promoting wellbeing. This process reawakens the body’s own healing intelligence, allowing for a return to harmony and overall health.

How it works

How does Spinal Flow work?

The spine and nervous system serve as the body’s central communication pathways; however, stress can cause blockages that obstruct the flow of messages between the brain, nerves, and organs, leading to pain, illness, and emotional imbalance.

Spinal Flow works directly with the nervous system to gently release blockages and stress from the spine. It’s all about supporting your body to reconnect, release, and flow.

During healing sessions you’ll be lying on your front, fully clothed. It’s best to wear something loose and comfortable – pants or a skirt with some give makes it easier to access points on your sacrum.

If lying on your front isn’t possible for you, that’s absolutely okay. We’ll work together to find a position that feels comfortable for your body, including during pregnancy.

The Initial Assessment – If you are a new client this is where you need to start. It’s a 60 minute session, which includes a full assessment, a chance for us to get to know each other, and your first Spinal Flow session to lay the foundation for your healing.

Follow-up group sessions are 30 minutes, giving us time to gently tune in to your nervous system and support what your body is ready to release.

Individual follow-up – If group sessions don’t feel right for you, I offer Individual sessions – a space that’s held just for you, to support your healing.

I encourage clients to reflect on their lifestyle and ask themselves if they feel ready to make changes that can support healing, even if those changes might feel a bit uncomfortable or inconvenient.

Healing

Our past experiences have shaped us into the people we are today. We’ve all been exposed to varying levels of stress and trauma, which affects our bodies.

Healing is an enriching journey that deepens with ongoing support and commitment. While a single session can lead to noticeable changes, deeper healing arises through several sessions that help release hidden blockages and stress within the spine and nervous system.

Each healing session helps your body connect more deeply with the Spinal Wave, as you create the space for profound transformation, empowering your body to heal more effectively.

10 principles of Spinal Flow Technique

1. There is a natural healing intelligence that exists within, and flows through the nervous system through the seven gateways of the spine as Spinal Flow.

2. Optimal wellbeing happens when the Spinal Flow runs the entire length of the spine – from the base gateway at the coccyx to the awaken gateway in the cranium.

3. Spinal Flow delivers life force to, and communicates with, every cell of our body through all seven gateways of the spine.

4. Pain, dis-ease and illness are indications of spinal blockages, which stem from three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional stress.

5. The 33 access points on the sacrum and cranium enable healing to happen by sending a message along the spinal cord to the brain.

6. Every spinal blockage has a cause and every gateway tells a story.

7. The only person capable of releasing a spinal blockage is the very person it exists within.

8. Trauma, particularly emotional trauma experienced in childhood, is the hardest stress to resolve and can benefit from the help of a trained Spinal Flow Technique practitioner to release.

9. Movement toward healing is the body’s natural rhythm and intelligence.

10. Healing intelligence is felt by breath, movement or perception and practitioners who certify in Spinal Flow Technique can facilitate healing to happen.

About Me

Hello I’m Jen, a Spinal Flow Practitioner living on Gubbi Gubbi Country in Caloundra on the beautiful Sunshine Coast of Queensland.

Outside of Spinal Flow, you’ll find me exploring nature, soaking in unconditional love and goofiness of my beautiful groodle, and spending time with loved ones.

It doesn’t matter where you are on your path, I am dedicated to helping you achieve long-term health and wellbeing.  I bring with me over 30 year’s experience working in health, focusing on the wellbeing of individuals and communities.

Healing with intention

As a proud Gringai woman of the Wonnarua Nation, my ancestry is grounded in the Hunter Valley region of NSW.

My path has naturally led me to explore deeper aspects of healing, where my passion for Energy Work has inspired me to study and practice Kinesiology, Massage, Breathwork, The Human Energy Field, Reiki and Spinal Flow.
I’ve welcomed my own healing, allowing it to unfold gradually and deepen over time. Nurturing it as a lifelong process has shown me the intricate relationship between my experiences, those of my ancestors and my overall wellbeing. Guided by experience, I’ve come to understand the vital role our nervous system plays in regulating every function of our body. It influences how we process pain, stress and trauma, how we heal, and maintain harmony.

My greatest learning so far has been honouring the need for connection. As humans, we are innately connected and created to support each other. Embracing this truth and asking for help is an essential part of our shared journey; it honors the balance of giving and receiving and reminds us that we’re not meant to walk through life alone. When we reach out, we open ourselves to compassion, trust, and growth, deepening our understanding of ourselves and others. There’s profound strength and beauty in being human together.

My work is an extension of myself, and you are invited to step into a space where transformation, connection, and healing flow naturally. Together, we will honor your journey, and awaken the innate wisdom within you.

The benefits

Spinal Flow nurtures the nervous system, the very foundation of how our bodies function. With this in mind, it can help with many physical and emotional issues, including but not limited to back, neck, and shoulder pain, sciatica, headaches, digestive issues, reproductive issues and chronic fatigue.

As the nervous system begins to function more smoothly, both body and mind can find a new sense of ease and clarity. This natural shift can also help with anxiety, depression and brain fog.

Spinal Flow truly meets you where you are. In every healing session it offers a compassionate path back to balance, supporting you wherever you are on your journey.
